They're looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join the journey to bring next-generation li-ion battery manufacturing technologies to market.
They are seeking a highly motivated Senior Equipment Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and support of key components in their battery manufacturing technology.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, procuring, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining systems for dry bulk powder handling.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of powder processing systems, including bulk handling, conveying, mixing, sieving / screening, and metering systems.
- Drive innovation in equipment and process design through collaboration with strategic suppliers.
- Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for new technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and compliance, to enhance equipment performance and ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the safe and compliant design and operation of systems for in-house use and partner / customer sites in the US, EU, and APAC regions.
- Provide strategic guidance on equipment design and selection to optimize cost-effectiveness, capability, and compliance.
- Support the certification of IB turnkey systems for powder processing.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, technical specifications, and documentation.
- Ensure equipment systems are designed, implemented, and maintained for maximum reliability and uptime.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to internal teams and customers.
- Align product development roadmaps with equipment capabilities, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
Required Qualifications :
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in science or engineering, with extensive expertise in fine powder handling and mixing equipment.
- Over 3 years of experience in designing and implementing powder processing systems, including pneumatic and mechanical conveyance, high shear mixers, weigh batching systems, and automation.
- Strong familiarity with standards and regulations for managing combustible and toxic powders (e.g., ATEX, NFPA 652 / 654).
- Knowledge of top global suppliers for dry bulk handling equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects that advance new technology to commercialization.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach. Proficient in CAD, project management, and documentation tools.
- Solid understanding of lean principles and operational excellence.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally to support project implementation (10-25% of the time).
