Who you are :
We are seeking a detail and action-oriented Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator to assist our supply chain department in execution of our inbound freight plan.
The ideal candidate is one with incredible attention to detail, a bias to action and strong interpersonal skills.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide selected freight forwarders with Purchase Orders and any draft consolidation plans for both Import and Domestic Goods and confirm that Purchase Orders both received and freight forwarder can and will execute according to the requested ship date and requested delivery date.
- Provide Customs Brokers with needed document package for customs clearance and confirm receipt of such package.
- Track and Trace all Inbound Freight, and drive communications between the suppliers, carriers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Alert Supply Chain Transportation Manager with any Exceptions to the flow of Inbound Freight and any recommended actions to prevent delays.
- Execute any plans to expedite freight as directed by Supply Chain Transportation manager.
- Update and Maintain in ERP and / or Shared Files with all up to date ETA's of Inbound Freight
- Communicate priorities to Drayage Coordinators so that they bring in the most critically needed inventory first.
- Communicate priorities of Receipt to Warehouse Operators so that they receive and put-away product to avoid out of stocks.
- Maintain strong level of communication with supply chain and account management colleagues to ensure they have any needed status updates on products they manage on behalf our customers.
- Perform other administrative duties as requested from time to time and supervised by Supply Chain Transportation Manager.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience :
2+ years or relevant experience
- Familiarity with import / export regulations, customs procedures, transportation logistics, and Incoterms is a plus.
- Familiarity with highly regulated industries a plus
- Proactive communication and strong comfort and skills to escalate exceptions to a plan
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of Products, inclusive of Teams, Sharepoint, and SmartSheets. Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central a plus.
Strong level of comfort with MS Excel-based templates.
