Role :
A growing local manufacturing organization is looking to add an Assistant Controller to their team. This position will report directly to the CFO with the opportunity to grow in title and responsibilities.
This person will be a master at the day to day activities including month end close, general ledger, cash flow, financial statement preparation, standard costing, job costing, plant accounting, etc.
This position will also be able to grow into more of an operational leadership role as time goes on!
Responsibilities :
- Work with CFO to manage the day to day accounting functions of the organization
- Perform general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, month end close, etc.
- Oversee daily transactional accounting including payables, receivables, cash flow, cash reporting, wires, ACH's, etc.
- Perform analysis of financial statement variances
- Perform standard costing as well as specific job costing
- Work with outside vendors, manage relationships, etc.
- Assist CFO with actuals vs budgeted
- Provide management reporting on results
- Manage one direct report - train, mentor, hire, evaluate, etc.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree is required
- 5+ years of prior accounting and analysis experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior supervisor, lead and / or management experience is a plus
- Ability to interact with all levels of professionals both internally and externally
- Certifications are a plus!
Compensation :

Working Conditions :
This is in the office 4 days a week. There is one day to work from home.
