Underground High Voltage Transmission Engineering Manager in Overland Park, KS
Summary
We seek a highly skilled Engineering Manager to oversee the procurement and construction of high-voltage transmission lines, including underground and submarine lines.
This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of complex transmission projects from initial design to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management : Lead procurement processes for materials and services essential to high-voltage transmission line projects.
- Project Oversight : Manage the construction of underground and submarine high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring adherence to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Technical Leadership : Provide technical direction on installation specifications, design details, plans, profiles, and transition joints.
- Team Coordination : Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and technicians, to achieve project goals.
- Quality and Compliance : Ensure all projects comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications
- Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-voltage transmission line design and construction, focusing on underground and submarine lines.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks. Familiarity with building automation systems like Tridium Niagara and Johnson Controls Metasys is a plus.
- Leadership : Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Local and Stable Work History : Demonstrated history of local and stable work within the industry.
