What you'll be doing
- Analyze and provide direction on Group Life and Health Disability reinsurance programs to ensure that reinsurance arrangements offer competitive, industry leading solutions and are implemented appropriately
- Partner with internal and external business partners to support the development of reinsurance Requests for Proposals (RFP) and / or treaty changes, as needed
- Support the development and completion of actuarial risk evaluations consistent with ERM standards and best practices
- Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality for assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Support the oversight of various actuarial governance initiatives such as peer reviews and model governance
- Partner with leaders and peers within product development, pricing, underwriting, valuation, finance and Corporate ERM to help achieve business objectives
- Identify and direct the implementation of process and risk evaluation improvements that significantly improve the quality of risk management initiatives
- Provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal / external stakeholders for areas under your responsibility
- Organize findings in a clear, systematic fashion and present actuarial recommendations to various levels of management and other stakeholders
- Potential to work alongside and mentor a rotating student on the team
What we’re looking for
Must-haves :
- 3-5+ years of increasing experience in Actuarial positions that directly align with the specific responsibilities of the position
- Upon Hire Certifications / Licensures : (5-8 Actuarial Exams passed; typically has ASA designation, progressing toward FSA designation.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to think critically, identify potential challenges, discuss solutions, and validate results
- Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining appropriate attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-haves :
- Experience and / or proficiency in reinsurance or risk management is preferred
- Experience and / or proficiency with group insurance is preferred

Pay Range : $90,300 - $164,700 Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual.
Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
