Our growing media team is looking for an entry level Media Buyer to join and grow with us. Barkley's media team works with multi-million dollar media budgets for clients in retail, CPG, healthcare, and even in niche industries.
Our size provides junior team members with early access to clients, cross-functional teams and to all types of media channels.
No prior media experience is necessary, though an interest and curiosity in media is encouraged!
Responsibilities
Trained and onboarded in a variety of media platforms and agency practices with the eventual goals of :
- Building relationships and maintaining ongoing communications with media representatives
- Supporting the team with key inputs and reporting for client discussions
- Working through all schedule entry into Strata buying software (manual and EDI process)
- Inventory management including moving or adding units based on schedule changes
- Setting up new vendor forms and requesting necessary documentation
- Working through billing reconciliation with Finance teams and vendor partners
- Ensuring strict adherence to client budgets while meeting client objectives
- Staying current on all media trends and opportunities in the industry
- Other duties / responsibilities may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in MS Excel
- Comfortable using math and working with numbers on a daily basis
- Ability to show attention to detail
- Eager to learn, willing to shadow and ask questions often
- Passion for both traditional and digital media
- Critical thinker with the ability to process information and make recommendations based on data
- Ability to work independently to complete projects and also work with a team
