Under direction of the Assistant Director of Transportation Demand Management (TDM) and in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Energy Initiatives, the incumbent will manage and oversee the day-to-day administrative operations of a multi-million dollar charging program.

Specific deliverables for this project appointment include interfacing with funding partners and Facilities Management / Capital Project Management to coordinate all reporting requirements and reimbursements with a minimum of 28 grants over a one year period of performance.

In collaboration with the fund manager, coordinate the preparation and execution of relevant grant agreements with agencies.

This includes coordinating the preparation of proposals, reporting to sponsors / donors, and post-award financial tracking (for both internal management and external reporting).

Vendor management and payment for charger operations support is also a key deliverable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to utilize computer software and knowledge of sound planning principles, including geographic information systems, 3-D modeling tools and AutoCAD.

Proficient in BlueBeam or equivalent drawing programs.

Experience with Cal eVIP and CHiLL 2 grant programs.

Experience monitoring EV system performance, requesting repairs or configuration changes, and preparing reporting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated written communication skills to prepare concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports, correspondence, and operating procedures.

Ability to establish cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers / contacts at all levels including medical center administration, campus departments, student organizations, community representatives, front line customer service staff, management staff, and vendors.

Analytical / problem-solving skills. Demonstrated experience analyzing and identifyingproblems, independently resolving discrepancies with ability to recommend solutions, contributing effectively tosupport organizational objectives.

Resourcefulness in locating sources of information.

Strong skills in analyzing, researching and synthesizing large amounts of data for preparing sound and relevant proposals / analyses.

Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate research surveys and field surveys. Skill in conducting research, gathering data, performing data analysis on sets of data, and developing reports.

This includes constructing tables, charts and graphs from compiled data.

Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and effectively with conflicting demands, changing priorities and heavy workloads to establish priorities and accomplish departmental goals and objectives.

Strong policy analysis techniques.

Expert level of experience using MS Office and Google applications. Ability to learn new and upgraded software and apply skills to current workload / project work.

Demonstrated experience with and an understanding of sustainable transportation, commute, and mobility modes.

Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Ability to model and advocate UCSD Principles of Community.

Demonstrates competency and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

DOJ / FBI Live Scan background check and clearances required prior to employment.

DMV background check and clearance required prior to employment.

Must possess and maintain current California Driver License.

Must be part of the DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program which requires a completed DMV INF 1101.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range : $67,200 - $119,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent : $32.18 - $57.28

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position.

The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
