Summer Internship Opportunity at Our Bronx Terminal
Do you enjoy working with your hands and being outdoors? Join our Bronx Terminal Team this summer! As a team member, you'll assist with general facilities maintenance throughout our high-volume oil terminal while gaining a comprehensive understanding of our operations division.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and learn from industry professionals.
Operations Intern Responsibilities :
- Assist with general facilities maintenance throughout our oil terminal.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of our operations division by rotating through various components of operations each week.
- Shadow a Terminal Operator to learn how to dock and unload a 50,000-barrel diesel vessel.
- Follow an operator through a tank farm to observe the blending process.
- Spend time in our onsite lab to analyze products and learn to run a full slate of test specifications.
- Travel to a customer site with a Delivery Integrity Technician to observe how our product reaches the customer and understand what is involved in a customer site assessment.
- Travel with a Driver to observe the delivery of products to our customers.
- Spend time with a Service Technician to see firsthand how our Service Group keeps customer equipment in optimal condition.
Requirements :
- Interest in a career in the maritime industry preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work a schedule from 7 : 00am to 3 : 00pm (40 hours per week)

Constantly (67-100%) : Includes bending / stooping, kneeling, neck flexion / extension, reaching forward, reaching overhead, and standing.
Additionally, constant exposure to excessive heat, solvents, and petroleum products.
Frequently (34-66%) : Involves grasping / handling, twisting, walking, balancing, and squatting. Also includes frequently lifting / carrying 1-20 lbs.
pushing / pulling 1-20 lbs., and exposure to noise, chemical agents, fumes, and odors.
Occasionally (1-33%) : Encompasses climbing stairs, ladders, and slopes, crawling, sitting, and getting in / out of trucks.
Occasionally involves lifting / carrying 21-50 lbs., pushing / pulling 21-50 lbs., and exposure to dust, vibration, and slippery surfaces.
