Department
The department "Statistical Information Management, Mathematical Methods" is responsible for the development, use and maintenance of IT-supported processes, mathematical-statistical methods and services for various central divisions of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
Your Assignment with Us
- You will drive the continuous expansion of the bank-wide innovative big data platform with state-of-the-art cloud technologies and thus increase the Bundesbank's analytical capabilities across the organization.
- In an agile environment, you will develop the data transformation routes : from source system analysis, data integration, data transformation and data provision to delivery to the end user.
- You advise specialist departments on various ways to use the analysis platform.
- You will actively shape the further development of the bank-wide analytics landscape, taking future-oriented cloud technologies into account.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's or equivalent degree in (business) informatics, (business) mathematics, data science or a comparable subject area.
- Knowledge of agile software development methods and the associated tools.
- Basic knowledge of various technologies in the field of big data engineering (e.g. Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kafka).
- Knowledge of at least one common programming language (e.g. Scala, Java, PL SQL).
- Experience in dealing with large amounts of data in relational and non-relational databases and in data modeling is an advantage.
- Ideally experience in the implementation of ETL pipelines in the big data environment (e.g. with Spark or SQL).
- Knowledge of self-service BI tools (e.g. Power BI) is desirable.
- Strong independence and high level of commitment paired with service and customer orientation.
- Very good German and good written and spoken English skills.
Remuneration & Prospects
Remuneration in line with the TVöD on the basis of pay group E 10, plus bank allowance, future-oriented job in the public sector with reliable working conditions, permanent employment, varied tasks, basic civil servant option, option to continue an existing civil servant relationship (up to A 11 gD).
