Lead Licensed Therapist
Job Description : Clinician who provides structured, consistent and strength based therapy in the home and community for children and youth, and families with ASD or ASD with co-occurring IDD.
The clinician reviews and revises initial assessments of consumers presenting for autism spectrum disorder services. Enhances the family’s capacity to improve the child’s or youth’s functioning in the home and community.
Develops and writes treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner, and bills for services in a timely manner according to agency standards.
Credentials and Qualifications :
Must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or other behavioral health area with requisite coursework equivalent to that degree in counseling, psychology, or social work.
- A minimum of 2 years of working experience providing autism spectrum disorder services, one year must be post-graduate work.
- Must complete an online Relias course sequence; In-person, service specific ADMH training, and Therap documentation training before hired.
Must have Alabama licensure in Psychology,Counseling, Social Work or a related field (LPC, ALC, LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, BCBA, BCBA-D, LBA, LMFT, LMFTA, etc).
Must pass a criminal background check, TB test and Drug screening. Must have a valid CPR card. Must have a valid driver’s license.

Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment.
- Writes and monitors a behavioral management plan that includes specific behavioral objectives and interventions that are designed to diminish, extinguish or improve specific behaviors related to the child’s or youth’s behavioral health condition.
- Guide clients in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems; addresses the family’s ability to provide effective support for the child or youth.
- Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports.
- Supervises and coordinates the interventions and trains others, including a In-home mental health support monitor, who works with the family to implement the plan in the home and in the community.
