SUMMARY

As a Registered Nurse Educator, your in-depth knowledge and outstanding communication skills are key in fostering quality care, enhanced wellness and ongoing growth and development throughout Rochester Regional.

ATTRIBUTES

In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of education and healthcare related work experience will be considered

Minimum of three (3) years of prior training / teaching experience in related educational field

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluation. Identify and validate the learning needs of customers by utilizing needs assessments, CQI results, performance improvement results, customer surveys and course evaluation results;

document the effectiveness of educational offerings by developing, monitoring and assessing competencies; analyze cost to maximize the efficient utilization of resources

Development. Create educational programs and curriculum that promote quality healthcare, employee / patient growth and personal wellness;

provide leadership in areas of expertise as a resource to the customer; develop communications and audio-visual materials that are clear and concise

Implementation. Facilitate programs to meet the identified learning needs of our customers; provide in-depth orientation, in-service and continuing education for staff or patients

EDUCATION :

BS : Health Education, BS : Nursing (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;

Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
