We are currently hiring a Finishing Machine Operator (1st Shift, Monday thru Friday, 8 : 00am 4 : 30pm) in Mobile (Robertsdale), Alabama
Hourly Rate : Minimum $16 per hour

What you’ll do :
- Spot lenses to check power and prism.
- Inspects and pad block on lens using blocking equipment
- Operates edging equipment to edge lenses to proper specifications.
- Use buffer to polish edges of lenses before mounting.
- Clean and insert ophthalmic lenses into ophthalmic frame.
- Using a lensometer, check lens attributes against established standards.
- Verify lens treatments and proper frame alignment against the prescription.
Qualifications :
- The ability to communicate openly with others and work as a team.
- Must be able to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed.
- Must be able to follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to understand and implement work instructions.
- Must be able to understand basic job work tickets.
- The ability to do simple / basic math
- Work without supervision
