We value Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and encourage all people to join us. POSITION DESCRIPTION : The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor (PRC) provides for the safety, support, and wellbeing of clients.
3rd shift PRCs are permitted to sleep during the night as long as they remain available to clients in the event of an urgent need.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : High School degree or equivalent is required. BA is preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : One year experience in social service or mental health required for those with High School degrees.
One year experience in social service or mental health preferred for persons with Bachelor’s degrees in related fields. RESPONSIBILITIES : Provides for the safety, support, and wellbeing of clients as stated in Person Centered Philosophy and Recovery Oriented Services guidelines.
Maintains integrity and security of the facility and property consistent with Environment of Care Standards (ECS). Provides supportive counseling and crisis intervention consistent with program objectives, goals, and philosophy.
Advises and consults with on-call staff when appropriate (refer to Clinical and House On-Call protocol). Maintains knowledge of clients’ status including appointments, activities, destinations, employment schedule.
Tracking departure and / or return times as applicable. Reviews shift notes at the beginning of each shift, attends and participates in all staff meetings.
Completes shift note on each client noting mental and physical status and participation in program. Completes written updates for incoming staff as applicable.
Supervises self-administration of medication to include the following : Ensure proper medication regimen, provide information about medications to clients as appropriate, alert program coordinator / program manager of medications running low, and log medication monitoring activities in eMar.
Monitors, models, and assists clients with activities of daily living. Facilitates / leads groups and assists clients in attending outside groups (site specific).
Facilitates clients’ social interaction. SALARY : $15 - $18 / hour Powered by JazzHR
