Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, communicate and implement the Project Quality Management Plan.
  • Oversee project specific quality plans, procedures, and audit the quality of work performed.
  • Manage identification and execution of corrective actions; in response to product and process non-conformances.
  • Identify potential quality risks to schedule, cost and all construction activities.
  • Assist in auditing field document control system, specifications, test and inspection reports, vendor data and as-built drawings.
  • Maintain project quality records for the construction phase of the project and quality audit plans, performance and management thereof.
  • Proficient with project specifications, code, standards, best practices and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Coordinate third-party QA / QC testing and inspection personnel.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with ongoing communication.

Experience, Education & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field is preferred;

or equivalent work experience.

  • Professional Engineer License is preferred.
  • Knowledge of State DOT and / or USACE specifications.
  • Ability to lead, influence and motivate others across the organization.
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with expert attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.

Working Conditions

  • Travel - This project is located in Southeast . Subsequent projects will be nationally based.
  • Construction site environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.
  • Office environment - extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required;

ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
