Job Description :
Key Responsibilities :
Evaluate current and future training needs for technician personnel
May mentor, train and / or onboard new and existing employees
Coordinate with vendors for advanced troubleshooting as needed
Assist with a weekly department wide publication
Conduct time studies and research repair times
Answer calls and / or emails to assist maintenance technicians in a call center environment, as needed, when technical questions arise both during shift and after hours;
diagnose and propose solutions to reported problems
Teach and assist field technicians with technical diagnostic equipment such as the Insite Computer
Develop scripts and deliver technical troubleshooting training videos
Review and adjust manufacture's technical repair instructions to target and / or streamline training
Create, communicate, and monitor equipment repair campaigns through internal system
Create or locate training classes or videos that will enable the technicians to maintain a high level of proficiency with technology advancements
Create, adjust, maintain, and update technical literature and documentation (e.g., equipment manuals, technical bulletins, etc.
within the approve training database Maintain advanced knowledge and skills in all technical aspects of repairing and troubleshooting JB Hunt equipment, including attending courses provided by JB Hunt or vendors to learn new technologies or changing maintenance procedures
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience and / or training in electronic engine, transmission or reefer repairs;
willingness to work across multiple shifts including nights and / or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications :
- 5 years of experience and / or training in heavy tractor and / or automotive repairs
- Proficient communication skills (written and verbal) effectively
- Ability to document information and make quick decisions
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both individually and as a team
- Proficient computer skills
- Experience in truck / automotive industry
- Extensive experience in electronic engine, transmission and reefer repairs
- Fluent in diagnostic software
- Proficient Organization skills
- Proficient time management skills
- Ability to work with under minimal direction
- Travel up to 20%.
Compensation :
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
