World Relief seeks a caring and well-organized Part-Time Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and aid newly arrived refugees.

In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of dedicated volunteer specialists who will help refugees with important tasks.

The perfect candidate should have expertise in volunteer coordination, training, and scheduling, along with a deep dedication to supporting refugees in their integration into the community.

This is a limited term role just through December of 2024. Part time - 20 hours / week.

Role & Responsibilities

• Train volunteers who assist with various resettlement activities such as picking up families from the airport or taking them grocery shopping.
• Monitor volunteer activities, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Work with case managers to schedule volunteer services with newly arrived clients.
• Fill in for volunteers when needed.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with volunteers, clients, volunteer engagement team and case managers.
• Keep a detailed record of volunteer activities

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Experience volunteering or in volunteer coordination, training, or a related field
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Outlook and Microsoft Teams
• Previous experience working with refugees or in a non-profit setting is a plus.

• Occasional weekend and evening hours required
• Valid Driver's License
