Summary :
To provide students and faculty with a safe, attractive comfortable and clean place in which to learn and teach.
Qualifications
Minimum :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated success in performing a wide variety of tasks including, but not limited to, plumbing, minor electrical, painting, carpentry, welding, and all building maintenance.
Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES includes the following or other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, Board, or designee :
- Performs routine maintenance on assigned buildings.
- Perform repair and preventive maintenance on district equipment
- Aide in snow removal from buildings and grounds.
- Haul trash as directed.
- Irrigate lawns as directed.
- Maintain lawns during season as directed.
- Maintain a daily activity log.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees.
- Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as the Superintendent and / or board may deem necessary.
Salary Range : $17.76+ per hour, dependant upon experience.
All recommendations for hire are tentative offers. Employment is contingent upon board approval, and successful completion of a federal background check and drug-free workplace pre-employment screening.
This is an at will position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law.
The employment at will policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and approved by the Board of Trustees of District #411.
