About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Operating Room Technician Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day - 4x9 - 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Thursday Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Required for submission Certifications : BLS, UAP (CST or NCCT preferred) Must-Have : Familiarity with total joint surgeries and cesarean sections;
experience with MAKO robot and orthopedic procedures is a plus. Job Description : Work collaboratively in an operating room (OR) environment with a focus on adult, pediatric, geriatric, and obstetric cases.
- Assist with common surgical procedures including orthopedic surgeries, cesarean sections, laparoscopic appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and exploratory laparotomies.
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment such as C-arm, Mako robot, ligasure, and harmonic scalpel.- Participate in on-call rotations, including one to two call shifts per week and one weekend call shift per month.
- Follow provided scrub color / dress code policies.- Participate in team / self-scheduling for shifts, with potential adjustments including Fridays.
- Complete unit / department-specific orientation with 1-2 shifts.- Availability to respond to holiday call requirements.
