Position Summary
Business Process Specialist is a mid- level position that serves as a Compliance and BSA / OFAC subject matter expert on business processes for organizing and coordinating strategic business process design and analysis services to align business and technology partners desired outcome.
This role will be key to understanding and documenting capabilities and business, functional and technical requirements needed to address business challenges by working closely with key-stakeholders, internal Technology teams, various vendors and third-party consultants and implementers.
The Specialist will have knowledge of governance and regulatory requirements, plus can share knowledge, suggest process improvements and confident in delivering insights into business analysis activity.
What You’ll Do
Distill, analyze, and communicate complex, enterprise level business challenges into succinct, written business, functional and technical requirements that meet current and future business needs.
Ability to present key points, features and benefits while focusing message on department need and expectations.
Review and map business processes from end-to-end to help business and technology identify, understand and address operational and technological risks and issues.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency of business or technical processes with existing capabilities.
Participate in small to large-size enterprise level projects working with cross functional teams in planning, development, and implementation as well as testing validation of technical solutions.
Escalate project roadblocks to SVP and / or VP Compliance Technology Product Management and Compliance Management Leadership
Qualifications
3+ years working in the financial services industry with special emphasis of understanding the controls needed within the financial crimes (AML, OFAC Fraud) / compliance area.
3+ Years in Business Analyst or Process Analyst role or similar or where strong analytical and problem-solving skills were required, including Requirements Gathering (Business, Functional, and Technical), Project Management, and Cross functional team collaboration.
Must possess basic leadership, critical thinking, strong time management skills, facilitation, and organizational skills with an excellent attitude and positive demeanor.
3+ years applied experience with Business Analyst Tools, such as Workflow Diagraming (e.g. Visio), and Project Management (e.g. JIRA).
B.S, B.A. in Computer Science or Business preferred
