The San Diego Data & Analytics practice is a full-service data practice with competencies across information strategy, modern data architecture, data visualization, and data science.

We are seeking an AWS Cloud Data Architect to join our local team. We are open to hiring at a Consultant or Senior Consultant-level, based on experience

What You'll Do

• Assist in designing multi-phased cloud data strategies, including crafting multi-phased implementation roadmaps
• Serve as a subject matter expert in AWS data architecture for the larger Slalom practice and contribute back to our global data engineering community
• Deliver on the technical scope of projects & demonstrate thought leadership at clients as well as internally at Slalom
• Gather technical requirements, assess client capabilities and analyze findings to provide appropriate cloud solution recommendations and adoption strategy
• Deeply involved in designing and deploying end to end solutions with a cloud platform's analytic services
• Principal level hires will have direct Revenue responsibility of $1M+

What You'll Bring

• 6-8 years of experience with 3+ years of experience consulting specifically in data architecture and engineering solutions.
• Proven ability to architect and deploy data solutions leveraging AWS services. Experience across any other of the top cloud data platform vendors, including Google, Microsoft Azure, and Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience building AWS cloud data solutions and migrating from on-prem to cloud
• Experience leading, managing and delivering complex cloud-based architecture engagements end-to-end with resources in multiple locations
• Hands-on experience with big data application development and / or with cloud data warehousing (e.g. Spark, Redshift, Snowflake, Azure SQL DW, BigQuery)
• Strong communication skills and a working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps concepts

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for Senior Consultant level is $120,000 to $186,000 and the base salary range for Principal is $133,000 to $206,000.

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.

The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
