Job Responsibilities
There is a need to develop a pool of qualified faculty to cover foundational Allied Health Sciences (AHS) courses for multiple programs of the MTC School of Healthcare.
Courses include but are not limited to Medical Terminology, Basic Patient Care, Certified Nursing Assisting, Cardiac Care Technician, Phlebotomy, Computers in Health Care, Health Careers Preparation, and Law and Ethics.
Instructors will prepare, organize and sustain lectures / clinical experiences to diverse student body; Evaluate and monitor student performance and development;
Aid students in achieving their academic goals and objectives, Ensure compliance with college policies, guidelines and processes.
Reports to the AHS Director and works with others to ensure student success.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Associates degree or higher in any Allied Health Science or Nursing discipline with demonstrated competences in the respective teaching area;
- clinical / bedside skills; SC licensed RN or LPN with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age;
Current National certification and minimum of three (3) years.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience with two (2) years in higher education and / or administration.
Preference given to individuals available during day time hours and able to offer in-person instruction. Bachelors degree with prior higher education and teaching experience is preferred.
