Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We have an opening for an experienced CAD Operator working out of our Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse office.
Responsibilities :
- Work closely with Design Staff to prepare engineering contract drawings (CADD drawings) o Draft and develop engineering contract documents as directed from engineering mark ups, sketches, detailed drawings, and verbal direction
- o Revise / update existing engineering contract drawings as requiredo Use CAD software to determine / calculate project construction item quantities
- Understand and apply client CAD standards and requirements
- Manage CAD computer files and understand CAD file interrelationships
- Assist Design Staff in the use of CAD software, including trouble shooting of CAD issues
Qualifications :
High School Diploma
Drafting / Design / Engineering Technical School Certificate
- 3+ years MicroStation experience (New York State Department of Transportation and / or New York State Thruway Authority experience preferred), AutoCAD experience a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
- Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Salary Range : $21.65-$28.85 / hour*
