Department Overview
The Speech-Language Pathology department specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children with a range of diagnoses from cleft palate to voice disorders.
In addition they also evaluate and treat children who may have difficulties with speech, cognitive-linguistic skills, feeding and swallowing, and language.
Care is provided at the following facilities : Minneapolis, St. Paul, Woodbury, Roseville, and Eden Prairie.
Position Summary
- Responsible for the evaluation and provision of speech therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including physician orders;
- provides patient / family / caregivers, staff and student training; provides a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment;
manages time effectively and promotes patient / family, physician and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the position's duties are performed within Children's Hospitals and Clinics Standards of Behavior.
