Who We Want
The Admissions team is the first impression people get of My Possibilities. As the Orientation(HIPster Orientation Program) Coordinator, you would have the honor and privilege to directly support our HOPsters through the final stage of the admissions process.
The Orientation Coordinator will work directly with the Admissions team and Program staff to prepare HOPsters as they grow toward becoming full-fledged HIPsters.

You are the launchpad to success and engaging education for our HIPsters.
Essential Functions
- Adhere to all confidentiality guidelines of our HIPsters and their families
- Provide daily differentiated instruction to classes of up to 16 HOPsters, using MP’s curriculum
- Maintain communication with Admissions team and Program staff to ensure rolling enrollment
- Complete weekly notes for all HOPsters
- Guide families through the final stage of the admissions process
- Conduct assessments to determine whether a HOPster is appropriate for MP and / or when they will move out of HOP
- Communicate admissions decisions to families and staff
- Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure the smooth transition of HOPsters into programs
- Maintain a working knowledge of Medicaid Waiver funding
- Coordinate with multiple providers and funding sources
- Maintain various internal documents on an ongoing basis
Competencies (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
- Experience working with adults with disabilities who may or may not have behavioral challenges
- Experience in using Microsoft applications and Google Drive, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (sign language a plus)
- Excellent judgement and ability to make admissions decisions
- Ability to navigate difficult conversations with families
- Flexibility to adjust approach repeatedly in an unpredictable, fast-paced environment
Minimum qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Special Education
- Registered Behavior Therapist Certification, Preferred
Experience
At least 2 years of working with individuals with special needs and managing challenging behaviors
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and valid car insurance required.
- Must be able to clear a background check with no related offenses jeopardizing the integrity of our program.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Must be able to get certified in CPR / First Aid and nonviolent crisis intervention within state-mandated timelines

Working conditions
This position will be required to :
- Sit, stand, and bend throughout the day
- Occasionally lift up to 75lbs.
- Sometimes clean up body fluids in order to maintain safety and dignity of HIPsters
