The AFRL Kirtland Information Technology Division, RVI, seeks to hire a mid-level DO-02, Information Technology Management Supervisor, at Kirtland AFB, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The incumbent will serve as the Branch Chief for the Information Systems discipline for the Directed Energy (RD) and Space Vehicles (RV) Technical Directorates.
Position duties include but are not limited to :
Perform as a leader, not just manager. Serves as a first-level supervisor, ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of Branch.
Enforces and manages computer systems design requirements, ensuring agile development standards, techniques, and practices.
Fulfills a primary role in creating a self-learning organization through promotion of knowledge sharing in RVI business process and systems.
Strengthens links between knowledge sharing and the information systems, and improving integration among information systems in RVI, to facilitate seamless exchange of information across multiple systems.
Determines and / or executes actions for a wide range of assignments involving combinations of complex features. Proposes integration and application of policies, processes, and technologies to ensure that information is systematically produced, organized and made accessible to the people who need it.
Devises, customizes, operates, oversees, and / or evaluates specialized information technology systems, processes, and applications pertaining to the performed work and the delivery of its design, end products, or services.
Formulates, executes, advises on, and explains recommendations or solutions to modify standard practices, processes, and techniques and resolve a wide variety information management challenges.
- Adapts precedents or existing strategies to meet unusual needs or special demands. Acts as a principal contributor on team-based projects or coordinate a team project and provide technical oversight and direction.
- Implements appropriate tools and venues to promote information sharing and capturing of important information and events that provide a context for various facts and events.
Prepares, presents, and evaluates plans, designs, reports, and correspondence relating to local metrics on the utilization and effectiveness of deployed solutions.
Telework : Yes, this position is eligible for situational telework; as determined by agency policy.

Required Qualifications :
- US Citizenship.
- Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience at the DO-02 / GS-12 or equivalent grade level.
- Experience in Software Development (Low Code / No Code) Team Management.
- Experience in Agile development standards, techniques, and practices.
- This position is an Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) position requiring Level II Non-Critical certificate in Engineering and Technology Management (ETM).
The selectee will have 24 months to meet APDP requirements or a waiver must be obtained. Applicants for this position must list any acquisition certifications and status as an acquisition corps member in their resume.
- This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement.
- Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of the position must achieve and maintain IAT Level II certification within six months of assignment of these duties.
A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
- The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
- Significant knowledge of project management within the DOD environment.
- Applicants must currently hold, or can obtain, a DOD Secret clearance.
- Specialized experience is experience that equips the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

- Experience managing & administering MS365 product suite, ServiceNow, and PEGA.
- Program / Project Management.
- Agile Leadership Certification.
- Specialized experience providing the capacity and skills for working independently, leading collaborative events, working in teams and using these approaches to find and solve complex problems.
Such experience may also include training, collaborative process facilitation, innovation design practice, writing background, editing job roles, continuous process improvement credentials, multi-agency liaison work, published work in refereed technical journals, and / or briefings to large groups.
