Caliber Manufacturing, a machining company in De Pere, WI, has openings for CNC lathe programmers / machinists. Caliber machines a variety of metal parts and castings for their customers in the food, mining, pump, and valve industry.

Located on the southern edge of De Pere, just off Highway 41, Caliber is minutes from Green Bay and a short drive from the Fox Valley Appleton, Neenah and Menasha.

Job Summary

Caliber is looking for a skilled machinist to join our team on the first shift, Monday -Thursday, 10-hour shifts, OR

Monday Friday, 8-hour shifts to run our Mazak Vertical Turning Center.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Program, set up and machine operation
• Produce parts to print holding tight tolerances
• Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specs using micrometers, and other measuring tools and devices
• Communicate with supervisors, engineering, quality control, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues
• Maintain cleanliness throughout work area
• Be a Team Player

Qualifications and Skills

• REQUIRED : 4 YEARS of MACHINING AND PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE in a Job Shop environment
• Strong blueprint reading and an understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces
• Proficient math skills, up to and including trigonometry, to calculate dimensions and verify measurements
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of inspection tools
• Knowledge of manufacturing process, machine tooling and fixturing, set-up, and preventative maintenance
• Lead experience is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking, along with bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
• All personal protective equipment must be worn when necessary (i.e. safety glasses, shoes. etc.)
