The Lane Dental Clinic and Lane Community College are seeking hygienists who can work either on an as-needed basis or with consistent hours.
The clinic coordinator will work with staff on hours and schedule based on the agreed upon commitment.
- This is a professional dental hygienist, non-teaching assignment.
- The Clinic follows the Lane Community College closure and holiday schedule.
- This position works at the Lane Community College Dental Clinic at 2460 Willamette Street, Eugene Oregon or LCC Main Campus.

- Tailored to schedule when DA’s are available and Student Clinics are not in session.

Position Purpose : To provide hygiene service to adults and children. To provide Lane Community College Dental Hygiene student training and positive mentoring.
Essential Functions : Support student learning through activities that include :
- Exhibit compliance with College policies and procedures, accountability for leave time, time sheet completion, release time, text book ordering and related functions
- Sustain currency in discipline and innovation in teaching
- Collegial participation in faculty performance evaluation process
- Maintain and post teaching schedule, regular meetings and office hours
- Maintain physical campus presence for instruction and daily needs of students, departments, college, and community, as specified in the
- Maintain requirements for student records, attendance, grades, and / or other documentation; ensure a safe, quality classroom or lab, including equipment, supplies, and inventory
- Problem solve and manage sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards; maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to the privacy needs of students

Supervision Statement :
- This position is supervised by The Dean of Health Professions.
- Clinic work will be led by Primary Dental Assistants and Certified Clinic Dentists.
- The Clinic Coordinator leads the work of the clinic, sets schedules, oversees daily operations, workflow, establishes procedures, gives input for clinic functions and develops organizational procedures
Physical Demands / Working Environment : This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors.
This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day.
This position may work with individuals who may be hostile or abusive. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
