POSITION SUMMARY
Although this position can be remote / hybrid, proximity to our Irvine, CA office location is REQUIRED, as filming will take place here on a regular basis.
Veritone is looking for a full-time Video & Motion Graphics Artist to join our in-house creative services team. Under the direction of the Senior Director of Creative Services, you will be responsible for video projects from concept to completion, while working with a creative team in marketing to fulfill requests from campaign managers, sales, and marketing managers supporting all business units company wide.
In this position, you'll be charged with two main types of production : 1) fully illustrated explainer-style videos / infographics, and 2) spot graphics over live action video.
In both cases, you'll be responsible for creating visually engaging and strategically aligned video marketing content for Web, events, social, and presentations.
Videos may be used for sales and marketing, training, HR and recruitment, education, and a variety of other applications.
Experience shooting live scene footage is required.
Ideal candidates have expert understanding of audio recording and mixing, lighting and scene-setting, and color-correction for a polished finished product.
Extra credit for experience in photography / photo editing.
From 15-second social spots to 15-minute corporate films, there's no limit to the types of projects you can have a hand in.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Participate in internal client input sessions and turn objectives into visual solutions that align to brand guidelines
- Be a capable storyboard artist, able to convey your story vision in a professional and production-minded presentation format
- Create animated graphics overlays as part of the iterative review process
- Develop production-ready artwork for your own production efforts and / or collaborate with other in-house or external designers to supplement your projects
- Be responsible for music selection and audio mixing
- Be prepared to shoot live scene interviews in our office or at a customer location
- Assist product marketing colleagues with the development of "how to" feature videos highlighting the capabilities of our products
- Oversee the technical aspects of podcast production, including sound recording, editing, mixing and mastering.
- Mediate changes in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure all projects are completed on-time and on-budget
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Bachelor's Degree in multimedia, graphic design, or film production or equivalent work experience
- 5-7+ years of experience at a video studio, ad agency or in-house creative department
- Proficiency in Mac-based workflows and Adobe Creative Cloud including (but not limited to) : Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Ability to transport and setup video, sound, and lighting equipment, complete the staging, and interview subjects independently.
- Shooting and handling camera equipment
- Web design and development experience is a bonus
- Strong knowledge of formats, codecs, compression, and troubleshooting
- Experience formatting assets for web and uploading / management of assets
- Ability to take direction and work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
- A team player, but also comfortable working with limited supervision
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and planning skills; ability to multitask and prioritize to meet strict deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
