They seek a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team.
What you are doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and products with a focus on plastics.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the viability of new product concepts.
- Utilize engineering principles and design tools to create detailed product specifications and drawings.
- Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and quality objectives.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, including plastics, based on their mechanical properties and suitability for the intended application.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
What you need as a Mechanical Design Engineer :
- BSME is required.
- 2+ years experience working in Design Engineering roles within manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of materials science, particularly in plastics selection and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.
- Travel Requirements : Up to 20%
