Reports To :

Shop Superintendent / Plant Manager

Summary :

Assist overall direction to mechanics in the maintenance and repair of specialized foundation equipment.

Essential Functions :

• Works under the direction of the Shop Superintendent and Plant Manager to ensure that all equipment is ready to meet operational schedules with regard to maintenance and repair.
• Implement corporate maintenance and repair programs as directed by the Shop Superintendent and / or Plant Manager with full understanding of mechanical and safety requirements.
• Work with field personnel to report equipment damages that need repairs in the shop.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Training :

Electronic Degree (recommended)

Requirements :

• 3-4 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, of which two years should have been in a foreman capacity.
• Ability to take direction but also to work independently.
• Ability to receive and understand instructions and to comply through planning and correct management of labor.
• Reaching high and low, stooping, and bending continually.
• Lifting / carrying / moving up to 100 pounds continually.
• Able to travel per the company travel policy.
• Able to concentrate at a high degree in a busy and noisy construction environment.
• Able to work in all types of weather.
• Rational decision-making ability.
• Makes final decisions and assumes accountability for them.
• Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities as needed.
