Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively advise corporate plan sponsors on plan investment structure, asset allocation and investment manager selection in support of their retirement plans
- Develop investment policy statements and the delivery of quarterly investment reviews
- Formulate target return and risk-based portfolios using internal capital market assumptions and asset allocation tools
- Develop hedging strategies for the purposes of asset-liability management
- Develop client meeting materials with appropriate focus and attention to detail.
- Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and / or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

Travel
Senior Investment Consultants historically have had moderate-to-high travel schedules during a six-to-eight week period each quarter.
Travel, however, greatly decreased over the past four years as most meetings are conducted virtually. NGC travel is determined by the clients that are supported.

Section 3 : Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or economics from an accredited university and / or hold the CFA designation; A master’s degree is a plus
- Ten-plus years of experience working in a related position focusing on providing investment advice and services to retirement plan clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as interaction with clients, the team and other areas of the firm is critical to success
- Ideal candidates will be able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and will be a "self-starter" working continuously under tight deadlines
- Securities licenses or agreement to pursue (FINRA Series 6 or 7, 66, etc.)
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking skills, project management skills and problem solving skills,
- Strong MS Office skills including MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
