Pay Rate Range : $75,000 / year

Work Environment : Nearly continuously in an office environment at the Herriman Campus with periodic travel to the main campus.
Job Summary
The Herriman Campus Director provides leadership and oversight of all University of Utah operations and programs at the Juniper Building at Herriman Campus.
The Director oversees academic and non-academic programs, liaises with main campus departments and administration, and maintains partnerships with Salt Lake Community College and the local community.
Responsibilities
- Direct the implementation of educational objectives for the Herriman Campus in alignment with the University of Utah’s goals.
- Establish and maintain communication and coordination between SLCC and UofU academic, administrative, and student affairs leadership.
- Provide strategic direction by setting goals, estimating budgetary requirements, and implementing projects and policies.
- Establish a collaborative team culture among U and SLCC staff and faculty.
- Oversee facility operations in coordination with SLCC and Engage U leadership.
- Manage staff resource needs, including recruitment and retention.
- Forecast staffing and budget needs based on evaluations and reporting.
- Oversee staff mix analysis to support the needs of students, faculty, and staff.
- Market and promote programs and services to stakeholders.
- Participate in university-wide committees to support administrative plans.
- Facilitate community and institutional relationships.
- Collaborate with SLCC to resolve issues and find solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Eight years of progressively responsible management experience; demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills required.
Preferences
- Master’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Higher Education, or related area preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to foster positive working relationships with diverse constituencies.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
- Collaborative approach to building teams.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with centralized systems for procurement, travel, and accounting.
