Value Stream Leader

Directs, ensures and oversees all aspects of the manufacturing process, continuous improvement and labor productivity at ACE.

Accountable to achieving the company production and financial metrics.

Overall coordination of the production operations in assigned value stream, as it relates to workflow, capacity management, and skill sets required.

Production Duties :

Ensure each team member operates in a safe manner and wears personal protective gear.

• Ensure ACE delivers on-time, quality parts based on our customers’ requirements
• Ensure smooth transition between shifts so that all team members are productive as soon as they arrive.
• Ensure team members have appropriate tools, fixtures and manufacturing supplies to meet customer quality requirements.
• Ensure value stream team members are maintaining tools and calibrating each month.
• Ensure shop floor is customer tour ready at all times.
• Manage daily performance by using established schedule and metrics.
• Responsible management of overtime hours ensuring production goals are met.
• Alert VP of Manufacturing on additional resource needs.
• Run weekly productivity meetings and distribute scorecards to team members
• Responsible to ship your value streams share of our annual revenue and gross margin goals.
• Collaborate with Training Leader to develop skills training plans for each team member in the value stream.
• Use 5 step problem solving system.

Team Leader Duties

• Promote and model the values and behaviors that define ACE’s trust-based
• culture
• Participate in ACE’s continuous improvement system including kaizen,
• problem solving, SOP’s, 5S, and safety audits
• Use the ACE performance management system when team performance is

not living ACE’s values or has poor job performance

• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members
• Maintain daily communication with customers, engineers, and sales regarding current order status
• Participate in daily production and shipping huddles with your co-leaders.
• Participate in weekly L10 meetings

Safety Responsibilities :

• Always wear personal protective gear when in the plant
• Participate in all required safety training and perform as trained
• Speak up when you see something happening that is not safe
• Make sure all value stream members are adhering to ACE safety policies

Qualifications :

• BS Degree in a Manufacturing or Business discipline
• A minimum of 10 years manufacturing experience with responsibilities of inventory control, IT systems, quality management, purchasing, production control, and engineering
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Processes
• Blueprint Reading
• Metal Fabrication knowledge preferred
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Emotionally Intelligent People Skills
• This is a safety sensitive position.
