Learn, Lead and Inspire - Sales Community Relations Trainee (Full Time)
Belmont Village Senior Living’s Sales Community Relations training program is designed to prepare qualified candidates for leadership as a Community Relations Assistant or Community Relations Associate.
The program immerses candidates in all aspects of the role including responsibilities and duties related to the management of the full-cycle sales process.
Participants train at a host Belmont Village community under the direction of a preceptor and program administrator, who will guide their training over the course of the program.
Participants will learn both technical skills related to their job, as well as hone their leadership skills in order to be successful as a Community Relations Assistant or Associate.
This is accomplished through a combination of on-the-job shadowing, completion of a knowledge & skills checklist, participation in online self-paced training modules, participation in leadership assessment tools, and hands-on experience.
Once the participant successfully completes the program, they will be eligible to apply for any available Community Relations Assistant or Associate roles.

THE BELMONT VILLAGE DIFFERENCE
PURPOSE
Trainee participates in a comprehensive, multi-month training program to learn the role of a Community Relations Associate (CRA) under the direction of a designated Preceptor.
Trainee will be given progressive responsibility and duties within the assigned community related to the management of the full-cycle sales processes, including all duties of the CRA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Complete all CRA-IT training checklists and training program requirements, unless exemption is given by Program Administrator and Preceptor
- Communicates with Program Administrator and Preceptor through regular progress meetings and continual feedback using self-evaluation and progress reports
- Knowledgeable in all features, advantages, and benefits of the Belmont Village physical plant, and effectively tours and presents the same to our customers
- Understands and has the ability to articulate the Belmont Village services, programs, and pricing policies to its customers
- Understands and demonstrates the Belmont Village sales processes and procedures as outlined in the Community Relations Training Manual
- Maintains relationships of trust with key area physicians, medical communities, and entities which have a significant senior clientele
- Maintains an accurate, current, and thorough referral contact list
- Knows and understands the competitive environment through in-person visits to competitors in the local market with respect to services, programs, and price offerings
- Upon completion of all operational training assignments and with final approval from the Program Administrator and Preceptor, the trainee will be eligible for promotion to an Community Relations Associate or Community Relations Assistant role
- Understands and uses SenSys (Belmont Village lead management system)
- Plans, organizes, and participates in marketing events and seminars to promote Belmont Village
- Knows, articulates and demonstrates the Belmont Village mission, core beliefs and values
- Maintains an active monthly calendar of scheduled referral source contacts in Sensys
- Demonstrates strong team orientation within the Belmont Village community and corporate support staff
- Ensures sales service fulfillment by maintaining communications with residents, families, and referral sources for future referrals
- Researches and understands the local community's business and medical environment
- Carries out community relations functions within budget
- Continually updates skills and knowledge regarding selling techniques and approaches by continuing professional training and education
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Demonstration of ability to establish long-term relationships
- Interest in working with the older population
- Computer experience and ability to use or learn to use database software
- Ability to travel locally to fulfill job responsibilities
- Ability to periodically travel overnight
- Ability to work flexible schedules in a 24 hour operation including morning, evenings, weekends and holidays
PREFERENCES
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
- Prior sales or leasing experience
- Prior experience working in Senior Living or with an older adult population
