Cybersecurity Network Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity :
As a Cybersecurity Network Engineer on our team, you’ll apply your expertise in routing and switching, network design and architecture, virtual routing, and Palo Alto firewalls, and knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations to help optimize client operations and modernization.
Using your experience with administering Palo Alto firewalls, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients on mission-critical projects.
On our team, you’ll perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
You’ll validate and verify system security requirements definitions and analysis and establish system security designs. You’ll design, develop, implement, and integrate IA and security systems and system components, including those for networking, computing, and enclave environments to include those with multiple enclaves and with differing data protection and classification requirements.
You’ll build IA into systems deployed to operational environments and assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application security policy and enterprise solutions.
You’ll support the building of security architectures, enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures, and assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
You’ll contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification, and awareness activities for system and networking operations, and review certification and accreditation (C&A) documentation, providing feedback on completeness and compliance of its content.
You’ll perform system installation, configuration maintenance, account maintenance, signature maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting of operational IA and CND systems.
You’ll apply system security engineering expertise in system security design processes, the engineering life cycle, information domain, cross domain solutions, commercial off-the-shelf and government off-the-shelf cryptography, identification, authentication and authorization, system integration, risk management, intrusion detection, contingency planning, incident handling, configuration control, change management, auditing, certification and accreditation processes, security testing, and principles of IA, including confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, availability, and access control.

You Have :
- Experience managing network devices, including Palo Alto firewalls, routers, and switches
- Experience with Windows and Linux Servers
- Knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework
- Active TS / SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- HS diploma or GED and 14+ years of experience with cybersecurity and enterprise network architecture, Associate’s degree and 12+ years of experience with cybersecurity and enterprise network architecture, or Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with cybersecurity and enterprise network architecture
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III Certification, including CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH Certification
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider - Infrastructure Support (CSSP-IS) Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification, within 30 days of hire
Nice If You Have :
- Experience with Cloud software development, requirements traceability, government contract data requirement, risk management processes or best practices, or software back-end testing
- Experience supporting IC clients
- Ability to deliver all documentation on-time through the contract data requirements list approval process, including a sense of teamwork and helping to bring the next level of value added to taskings
- Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Palo Alto Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), or Palo Alto Certified Software Firewall Engineer (PCSFE) Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
