We are pleased to announce an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic and experienced professional to become our Vice President of Commercial Leasing, based in Stamford, CT.
This pivotal position will spearhead our commercial leasing operations across a diverse national portfolio of properties.
The Vice President will prioritize enhancing occupancy rates, cultivating robust relationships with tenants and brokers, and ensuring exemplary performance across various markets.
The role will entail occasional travel to properties nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all commercial leasing activities related to our national portfolio, encompassing office, retail, and industrial properties.
- Formulate and execute strategic leasing initiatives that optimize occupancy and propel revenue growth across a multitude of markets.
- Establish and nurture relationships with prospective tenants, brokers, and industry stakeholders to identify leasing opportunities and attract new tenants.
- Lead the preparation and negotiation of lease agreements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and adherence to legal standards.
- Collaborate closely with Property Management, Legal, and Finance teams to facilitate seamless lease execution and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and conduct competitive assessments to deliver insights into opportunities and risks within our commercial leasing operations.
- Design and implement marketing strategies to elevate property visibility and stimulate leasing activity on a national scale.
- Mentor and guide the leasing team, providing support and leadership to achieve departmental objectives.
- Manage tenant renewals, expansion opportunities, and re-tenanting initiatives for underperforming spaces across all regions.
- Prepare and present regular reports to senior management regarding leasing activities, market conditions, occupancy rates, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial leasing and tenant occupancy across various markets.
- Travel occasionally to engage with tenants, brokers, and property teams, as well as to assess leasing opportunities.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related discipline (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
- A minimum of 8 years of commercial leasing experience, with a proven track record in a leadership or executive capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of the national commercial real estate market, leasing principles, and negotiation techniques.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal capabilities, demonstrating the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Proven aptitude for developing and implementing leasing strategies that significantly drive occupancy and revenue growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to market trends and financial assessments.
- Experience collaborating with property management, legal, and finance teams to manage leases and foster tenant relationships.
- Proficiency in leasing software and real estate platforms.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to properties throughout the U.S.
