Overview
CORT Furniture rental is hiring a full-time Assistant District General Manager (ADGM). The ADGM works with the District General Manager to plan, direct and lead the profitable growth of district operations for a specific location within our national company.
This role will teach the right individual all about CORT’s business, while helping to oversee all operating functions including rental sales, retail sales, general administration, inventory management, warehouse and delivery operations.
ADGMs will be expected to cross-train across all district functions.
This is an onsite position performed from the CORT offices and distribution centers.
Pay : $90,000 - $100,000 / year, depeding on experience. Bonus potential based on company / district performance also available!
Schedule : Average is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Some flexibility may be required.

Responsibilities
- Develops, recommends and implements policies for the overall district including operating plans and budgets in conformance with district and company policies and practices
- Collaborates with the sales and operations teams to coordinate, plan and optimize sales activities
- Manages sales activities in the Outlet Center(s) & Showrooms to increase revenue and inventory utilization
- Assists with inventory management efforts, controls, warehousing, and delivery operations
- Ensures employee compliance with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices
- Oversees P&L, budgets, forecasts, and purchasing
- Responsible for safety policies and practices of a district to include OSHA, DOT, and other local / national regulations
- Responsible for hiring and selection, training, growth and development of staff
- Support or fulfill warehouse functions, assist on warehouse floor or at deliveries as needed; which could involve handling product, operating equipment
- Write rental leases or assist on the outlet center retail floor as needed
Qualifications
- 4-year college degree or 3+ years' general management experience
- Previous experience leading teams and regularly interacting with hourly staff
- Excellent communication and reasoning skills, computer proficiency and account development and management skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass drug screening, background checks. CORT also participates in the E-Verify program.
