An embroidery operator is responsible for operating and maintaining embroidery machines to create embroidered designs on a variety of products, such as clothing, hats, bags, and other textiles.
The job duties of an embroidery operator include : Setting up and preparing embroidery machines for use, including selecting the appropriate threads, bobbins, and needles.
Reading and interpreting design specifications, including color and size requirements, to ensure accurate and high-quality embroidery work.
Operating embroidery machines to create embroidered designs, adjusting the settings as needed to achieve the desired results.
Inspecting finished products for quality and making any necessary adjustments to the embroidery machines or processes. Maintaining the embroidery machines, including cleaning and oiling the machines and replacing parts as needed.
Keeping track of inventory levels of embroidery supplies, such as threads and needles, and placing orders as needed. Collaborating with other team members, such as designers and production managers, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Successful embroidery operators are detail-oriented, have excellent hand-eye coordination, and are able to work independently or as part of a team.
