About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Product Owner to join our team. The Product Owner will be responsible for maximizing the value of our deliveries by prioritizing and managing the capability backlog, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring a documented clarity for delivery teams and their overall business goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent planning and communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional solutions.
Leveraging their broad understanding of stakeholder needs and team capabilities, they will be at the forefront of ensuring the team and technologies they manage are providing the right thing, at the right time.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Daily JIRA Management : Configure and customize JIRA to meet the needs of various teams and projects within the organization.
Create and manage JIRA projects, workflows, screens, fields, and permissions schemes.
Facilitate Agile Ceremonies : Lead daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure teams stay aligned and focused on delivering value.
Resource Allocation : Partnering with the Engineering Leads, ensure the correct resources are allocated to the various projects, identify areas of gap and escalate to leadership in a timely manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with development teams, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a shared understanding of the product vision and priorities.
Release Planning : Participate in release planning meetings to define release scope and set realistic delivery timelines.
Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project delivery or the success of the delivery.
Track and Monitor Progress : Monitor team velocity, sprint progress, and product backlog health, providing visibility into project status and identifying areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement : Continuously seek opportunities to optimize processes and improve team efficiency through retrospectives and feedback loops.
QUALIFICATIONS : Basic Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8+ years in a Business Analyst, Product Manager, or Product Owner role.
5+ years operating in direct support of an agile team; maintaining sprints and backlogs in JIRA (or similar), release management etc.
Proven experience to break down complex ideas into sizable portions, communicate those clearly, and execute on them
Proven project and time management skills, with a practiced ability to adapt to change.
Other Qualifications
Certification in Agile or Product Management (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner, Agile Certified Product Manager) is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent analytical, collaborative skills that can be applied to colleagues, leaders, and vendors alike.
Experience with the core duties above in a Marketing or Agency environment.
