Tapcheck is looking for a seasoned director of data analytics to join our growing data & analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of data analytics, a strategic and results-oriented mindset, and a proven track record of promoting data-driven decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing advanced analytics tooling and capabilities, performing data analysis across business functions, and discovering and leveraging data insights to grow our business and enhance our competitive advantage in the EWA space.

What You'll Do :

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy aligned with our business goals
  • Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytics models and algorithms
  • Utilize machine learning, AI, and statistical techniques to extract insights from complex datasets
  • Develop, deploy, and own an experimentation framework to be leveraged across the organization
  • Pair with product leaders to form and test hypotheses for product enhancements, directly influencing our areas of investment and direction of the business;

estimate and measure the impact of these initiatives on key business metrics

  • Write complex SQL queries and Python scripts to source and transform datasets
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and hypotheses for further investigation
  • Translate complex data findings into clear and concise reports, presenting analytics results and recommendations to executive leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Map and analyze customer journeys to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement
  • Utilize Omni, our BI platform, to build insightful reports and dashboards and source data for your analyses

What You'll Bring :

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a smaller company or start-up environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field - a Master’s degree is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and desire to work with complex data sets
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools and platforms, including SQL, Python, R
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling
  • Experience with BI tools such as Omni or Looker
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations that can be presented to the executive leadership team

Compensation : $180,000 - $190,000 per year + Bonus + Equity. The actual base salary varies on job level and will depend on numerous factors such as : location, experience, training, knowledge and skills.

Tapcheck reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. It is at the Company's discretion to determine what pay is provided to a candidate within the range associated with the role.
