Job Description : Formulation and Process Development Associate- Edison, NJ

Key Responsibilities :
- Operate pharmaceutical process equipment independently, including tablet presses, capsule filling machines, fluid-bed dryer / granulator, pan coating equipment, high-shear and low-shear mixers / granulators, milling equipment, roller compactor, hot-melt extruder, and extrusion-spheronizer.
- Generate reliable manufacturing data and conduct in-process tests such as weight, hardness, thickness, friability, disintegration, bulk / tap density, and sieve analysis.
- Maintain compression and encapsulation tooling and perform blend sampling for uniformity tests.
- Set up, clean, and maintain equipment according to SOPs to ensure safe and effective product development.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the pilot plant and warehouse environments.
- Perform routine checks on balances and organize raw materials, packaging materials, and laboratory supplies.
- Ensure right-first-time execution, timely documentation review, and accurate data entry.
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum high school diploma required; associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a science-related field.
- Over 1 year of prior experience in pharmaceutical development.
- Experience in a GMP pilot or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 50 pounds and work in a highly regulated health and safety environment requiring the use of face masks, respirators, gloves, and safety glasses.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to follow instructions and SOPs.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Flexible working hours.
Knowledge and Skills :
- Strong motivation and focus on task completion.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical process equipment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
