The HCSC Linen Transporter is responsible for storing and distributing linen for hospital facility. The transporter conducts herself / himself in a courteous and professional manner at all time, and complies with all HCSC and hospital policies.
Essential Job Functions / Duties and Responsibilities
- Pack clean linen orders into carts for distribution. Cut string / tie from the linen bundles and gather the string to put in the garbage receptacle.
- Clean Distribution
- Distribute filled linen carts to appropriate areas within the facility and completely par stock the assigned patient care units / ancillary areas as required.
- Soil Pickup
- Retrieves soiled linen carts from facility areas to soil room / return empty soil carts to areas.
- Record Keeping
- Record information accurately on all paperwork and input data into tracking program.
- Linen Room
- Store clean linen on shelves, after verifying numbers and types of items; keeps linen room in clean and orderly condition.
- Provides support and assists with other tasks across the organization.
All new hires are eligible for Bonuses. You will be eligible to receive, upon completion of 180 days of service, and successfully passing probation, a $500 retention bonus.
Upon completion of 365 days of service, you will receive an additional $500. Total of $1,000 over one year of employment service.

High School Diploma / GED
