Good mechanical aptitude.Use vendor support systems and work with vendors when extended support is required.Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools with emphasis on instrumentation, control systems (PLC / DCS) debugging and repairsFamiliarity with chemical batch processing and / or paper web controls is a plusGood computer skills.
Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and diagrams.Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionalityPeriodically report to Operations / Plant Manager regarding automation capabilities and statusQualifications and Skills : Minimum 4-6+ years’ experience in a E&I technician roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsUnderstanding of OSHA regulationsExcellent follow through, judgment, and common sense.
