Description

As a Data Analyst, AI Automation at Accuity Healthcare, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex healthcare data to support our Amplifi technology enabled chart validation.

You will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from large datasets, developing analytical models, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.

In this role, you will interact cross-functionally with multiple departments and functionally align to the Technology team.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to monitor the performance of an AI / ML clinical rules-based engine.
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical coders to ensure accuracy and relevance of data inputs and outputs.
  • Monitor Amplifi performance operationally and clinically, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Analyze output volumes to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of the engine.
  • Evaluate match rates for diagnoses across DRGs and clients, identifying discrepancies and trends.
  • Generate actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance engine performance and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to communicate key performance indicators and trends to stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers in clinical data.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in AI / ML technologies related to clinical rules-based engines.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

Education :

Prefer Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience :

  • Minimum 3-5 years working as a data analyst, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • Experience with PowerBI, MS SQL Server required.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing complex data manipulations and analysis required.
  • Experience with AI techniques preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and / or SAS.
  • Strong understanding of clinical terminology, healthcare procedures, and medical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT).
  • Highly detail-oriented and responsible for ensuring the accuracy of reports.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including a proactive disposition towards identifying problems and providing solutions.
  • Strong oral and data communication skills.
  • Experience designing and developing database objects, tables, stored procedures, views, and SSIS packages.
  • Independent, focused individual able to work remotely or on-site.
