Shop Technician (Entry-Level)

For this position, you’ll perform the service of fire extinguishers and other forms of pressurized cylinders in our shop.
This will be an exceptional entry-level opportunity for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.

What we’re looking for
Experience :
- Experience with using hand tools and measuring.
- We also want to meet you if you have prior experience working in construction.
Other Requirements :
- Applicants must be 18+
- Per Fireline’s insurance policy, it is a requirement that employees ages 21 and over are permitted to drive company vehicles.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Fireline is a drug-free company. Employees will be required to take a drug test at the time of hire and periodically throughout their employment.
This will include the testing of cannabinoids (marijuana), opiates, amphetamines, and methamphetamines. Fireline is a DOT regulated business working in the life safety industry and per DOT rule 49 CFR Part.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Be comfortable working in different environments as our technicians work indoors and outdoors.
- The ability to read, speak, sit, stand, walk, use your hands, reach, climb ladders, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Show a commitment to quality work.
- A sense of responsibility for safety and the protection of life and property.
- Be punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic and a great attitude.
- Work closely and effectively with other team members to meet goals.
- Communicate effectively with managers, customers and peers.
- Be willing to learn, pick up on technical things quickly, and know when to ask for help.
