As a world leader in the design and manufacturing industry, Active Dynamics is seeking an eager and enthusiastic Inventory Analyst to join our successful Novi team immediately.
We are looking for a talented individual with solid professional skills in manufacturing.
What you will be doing :
Inventory Management : Monitor and analyze inventory levels across various locations, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
Manage the consigned goods and ensure precise tracking and documentation.
- Data Analysis : Conduct regular analysis of inventory data, including turnover rates, stock levels, and demand trends, to identify areas for improvement.
- Forecasting : Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data and market trends to guide purchasing and inventory replenishment.
- Reporting : Prepare and present regular inventory reports and metrics to management, highlighting key insights and recommendations for action.
- Collaboration : Work closely with procurement, sales, and operations teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives and enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
- System Management : Utilize inventory management software and ERP systems to maintain accurate records, track inventory movements (including consigned goods), and support decision-making.
- Process Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, efficiency, and overall performance.
- Reconciliation : Conduct regular inventory reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy, particularly focusing on consigned goods, and address discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Training and Support : Provide support and training other team members on inventory processes and best practices.
What you bring along :
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience : 3-5 years of experience in inventory management, analysis, or related fields, with specific experience managing consigned goods preferred.
- Technical Skills : Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.), along with advanced Excel skills.
- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
- Attention to Detail : High attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records and data analysis, particularly for consigned goods.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to stakeholders effectively.
- Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Certification in inventory management (e.g., APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) is a plus.
- Experience with demand planning and forecasting methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean inventory practices and supply chain optimization.
