General Summary Duties : Responsibility for maintenance of the Practice Management and Reporting components of eClinicalWorks.
In conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Manager, completes all Month End requirements. Responsibility for the reporting and analyzing of data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to eClinicalWorks and payer portals.
Practice Management System Responsibilities :
- Oversees the configuration, maintenance, and updates of the practice management system to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
- Collaborates with the EHR team on all changes that impact eCW as an integrated application.
- Configures the practice management application to meet the specific needs of the practice, including registration, scheduling, billing, and claims processing.
Reviews and evaluates requests from end users and makes recommendations to the leadership team as appropriate.
In conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Manager, completes all Month End requirements, including distribution of reports to appropriate staff.
Data Analysis Responsibilities :
- Data Collection : Gathers and consolidates data from various sources within the practice, including patient records, billing information, and operational data, as well as data from sources outside the practice such as payer portals.
- Data Analysis : Utilizing data analysis tools and methodologies to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Reporting : Generates detailed reports and dashboards that present key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights. Reports may cover financial performance, patient demographics, revenue cycle data, and more.
- Data Quality Assurance : Monitors and maintains data quality. Identifies and rectifies data discrepancies.
Requirements :
- Requires two (2) or more years of computer experience in a healthcare setting.
- Requires 5 years of medical office employment working mainly in non-clinical areas.
- Proficiency in practice management system software and data analysis tools. Understands all aspects of the front office and related business functions (including scheduling, registration, financial counseling, check-out, etc.)
- Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot system issues.
- Excellent communication skills to provide user support and present data findings.
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint is required.Advanced Excel skills preferred.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
