What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $26.

00 - $30.00 / hour. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to :

  • A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service
  • 457B Retirement plan
  • 132 hours of PTO earned within first year + 11 paid holidays, 1 personal holiday and 1 volunteer day per year
  • Competitive medical, dental and vision plans effective within 1 month of start date

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed.

In this position you can expect to work in-person 1-3 days a week either in our primary office or at an off-site event. Occasional work on the weekends to support team events may be required a few times a year.

Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You'll Do

As a Talent Acquisition Operations Coordinator (OHR), you will be essential to meeting the city's demand to hire top talent quickly.

This role handles high volume operational work on a daily basis and supports candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers alike.

You will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative and growing team, focusing on creating the best experience for our candidates and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

  • Create offer letters, facilitate background checks and medical screenings, and monitor candidate completion of these and any other required processes
  • Provide excellent customer service to candidates, clients, and colleagues to ensure that all hires feel welcomed, prepared, and inspired for their new career with the city
  • Utilize our Applicant Tracking System (Workday) and other tools such as Microsoft Office or online vendor portals to track pre-hire processes and gather and report on data
  • Maintain standards of work documents for your specific client groups
  • Assist with application review
  • Schedule, document, and coordinate phone screens or interviews
  • Participate in career fairs or hiring events

Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics :

  • Experience successfully working on projects and tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience processing pre-hires in large organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Workday experience
  • Initiative to find solutions and think critically to solve problems
  • Experience resolving time-sensitive and confidential customer issues
  • Experience working with third-party background check or medical screening vendors
  • Experience with processing CDL licensure checks
  • Data analysis skills such as creating and interpreting graphs and pivot tables

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education requirement : Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Experience Requirement : Two (2) years of experience in an administrative environment.
  • Education / Experience Equivalency : Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
