Theo is a fast-growing performance media agency headquartered in Portland, Oregon. We help local and national brands across a wide range of industries advance their marketing practices through methodical, creative, and technology-driven marketing activations.

The Senior Performance Marketing Specialist will be responsible for all aspects of media management and optimization on assigned accounts, acting as a day-to-day media contact and providing strategic recommendations specific to client KPIs.

This position works closely with internal Account Management, Strategy, Analytics, and UX teams, as well as clients and partner agencies to conceptualize, forecast, build, and optimize campaigns and report metrics and insights relevant to client success.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of paid search and paid social and the execution and measurement of multi-channel digital marketing campaigns.

Strong project management and communication skills are essential in this role.

This position is eligible for remote work. Remote employees are expected to use video conferencing programs for virtual meeting attendance.

What you'll do :

  • Manage paid media campaigns including Search, Social, Display, and Video.
  • Build, monitor and optimize campaigns with attention to detail, including targeting strategy, bid and budget management, ad copy creation and messaging strategy, landing page experience, and A / B testing.
  • Proactively report on campaign and channel performance and provide detailed insights and strategic recommendations for performance improvement and media mix adjustments.
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Strategy, Analytics, and UX internal teams.
  • Clearly communicate performance and strategic recommendations to clients with varying levels of digital marketing experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, forecast, build and optimize media budget allocations & performance
  • Manage, monitor & communicate pacing and performance for assigned clients
  • Independently manage & prioritize day-to-day tasks and client deliverables
  • Use reporting, analytics, and trend tools on a daily basis to keep a pulse on performance and optimization opportunities, consistently providing related insights and recommendations
  • Communicate with clients in relation to paid media management, performance, optimizations & opportunities
  • Manage strategy & testing for new & existing media channels
  • Provide strategic, full-funnel recommendations & testing plans based on clients’ business objectives
  • Create & manage implementation of required console tracking tags via GTM or other client-selected platform
  • Collaborate with Theo’s account management, strategy, analytics, and UX teams, as well as clients & partner agencies
  • Stay up to date on platforms’ capabilities, best practices & BETAs; identify and communicate media trends and recommendations beyond existing media plans
  • Manage media vendor representative communications, partnership, & expectations
  • Assist in training & development of junior team members

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 2+ years of agency / in-house performance marketing experience
  • 2+ years of full-time experience working in ad consoles such as Google Ads, Meta, etc. Paid search and paid social experience is required.
  • 1+ years of experience in budget management, reporting & analytics
  • Experience in campaign planning and activation (Search, Social, Display, Video, etc.)
  • Experience with tagging platforms and tag implementation (Google Tag Manager, Tealium etc.)
  • CRO and / or SEO-related experience is a plus
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to successfully work both individually and in a team environment;

strong ability to articulate and document findings and recommendations
