As a leading healthcare system in Greensboro, NC, our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Benefits Administrator to join their dynamic Human Resources team.
This role plays a crucial part in managing and administering comprehensive benefits programs for their employees, ensuring they receive valuable and competitive benefits that support their well-being.
Senior Benefits Administrator Responsibilities :
- Develop, implement and administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, disability, retirement and wellness programs
- Serve as the subject matter expert on benefits policies, procedures and regulations, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
- Evaluate current benefits offerings and make recommendations for enhancements or changes to improve employee satisfaction and retention
- Partner with external vendors, brokers and consultants to negotiate and manage benefits contracts and services
- Coordinate open enrollment processes, including communication strategies, enrollment system management and employee education sessions
- Resolve escalated benefits issues and inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate information
- Conduct regular audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy and integrity of records
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in benefits administration to recommend innovative and cost-effective solutions
- Collaborate with HR team members on special projects and initiatives related to benefits and employee well-being
Senior Benefits Administrator Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of experience in benefits administration, preferably in a healthcare or similar industry
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits programs (ERISA, ACA, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze benefits data and make data-driven recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
